Diagnostic Testing For Personalised Care

While health coaching, nutritional advice, and lifestyle modifications can help improve your overall wellbeing, sometimes a more specific intervention—such as diagnostic tests—can complete your understanding of the full picture of your health.

This is because approaches to nutrition, such as dietary protocols or lifestyle recommendations, aren’t one-size-fits-all. They don’t account for our individual differences and specific needs, and trialling them one by one to see what’s right for us can be frustrating and arduous.

What Is Diagnostic Testing?

Diagnostic tests provide personalised insights into your body’s biochemistry, which help New Leaf’s nutritionists to develop protocols and recommendations that fit your biochemical profile. We work with a trusted partner, Nordic Labs, to offer a range of diagnostic tests designed to bring you closer to the answers you’re looking for, whether you’re dealing with gut health issues, hormonal imbalances, or nutrient imbalances.

Discover A Comprehensive View Of Your Health with These Tests

1) Organic Acids Test (OAT)

The OAT is a great starting point for understanding your body’s biochemical function.  A simple urine test enables the evaluation of more than 70 organic acids in a lab, creating an overall picture of your metabolic health. These acids are byproducts of metabolism present in urine and indicate potential underlying nutrient deficiencies, oxidative stress, and gut microbiome imbalances.

2) DUTCH Test (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones)

The DUTCH test is a comprehensive hormone test that provides a detailed picture of your hormonal health, including cortisol and adrenal function, through a dried urine sample. It tests around 35 sex and adrenal hormones, and is particularly useful for clients experiencing stress, fatigue, libido issues, or hormonal imbalances.

3) Metabolomix+ Test

This non-invasive test examines the interplay between your metabolism and nutrition, assessing key nutritional biomarkers, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. It helps us target deficiencies that may be affecting your overall wellness and tailor nutritional therapies to meet your needs.

4) GI Map (Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus)

The GI Map is a stool test that offers a comprehensive view of your gut microbiome, highlighting potential pathogens, imbalances, and digestive health markers. A GIP Map can help identify underlying causes of IBS, autoimmune diseases, and gut-related issues, such as bloating or discomfort.
