“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” — Desmond Tutu.

Shrutika’s approach is rooted in the firm belief that counselling can provide the hope needed to inspire individuals to tap into their inner strength, overcome challenges and heal themselves. She views the therapeutic process as a collaborative healing journey, where clients are empowered and involved in their own healing, built on empathy, trust, and customised support.

Shrutika supports individuals, couples and families dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, and challenges posed by neurodiversity, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). With couples, she focuses on nurturing open communication, rebuilding trust, and deepening emotional connections to help create healthier and more fulfilling relationships. As a mother of two teenagers, she brings a personal understanding of the complexities of adolescence, which informs her work with young people and their families, making them feel understood and less alone in their struggles.

Drawing from her own lived-in experiences and a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients, Shrutika takes a compassionate, client-centred approach to therapy. She specialises in evidence-based therapies such as Brainspotting Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Couples Method Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) while also integrating approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Social Thinking and mindfulness activities for holistic healing.

Having lived and worked in India and Singapore, Shrutika has a nuanced appreciation of being a third-culture adult and navigating intercultural dynamics. Her diverse professional background, spanning academia, corporate, and non-profit sectors, gives her valuable insights into the impact of work environment and societal expectations on mental well-being. This breadth of experience allows her to approach each client’s issues with warmth, empathy and clarity, making potential clients feel confident in her ability to understand their unique situations.

If you are seeking guidance to overcome personal challenges, improve your relationships, or achieve balance in your life, Shrutika invites you to take that first step. Schedule an appointment and begin your journey towards a brighter, more empowered future.

Fiona Maher O'Sullivan

Fiona at New Leaf Counselling has helped me understand myself better than I ever thought was possible. After many failed attempts at various types of therapy over the years, I never thought I’d find someone so insightful and skilful in helping guide me through my mental health challenges. I truly see myself becoming a stronger and more resilient person with every session that goes by. Thank you Fiona! Your support is invaluable.

Santiago Brand

It was a huge difference in experience at New Leaf Counselling & Integrative Health! Fiona, Tyrel and their team were comprehensive, listening and professional making the entire session stress-free. Our specialised session with Santiago was amazing. Through his brain mapping assessment, we can understand how our daughter’s mind better. The results were both fascinating and affirming! Initially, we were perplexed as to how this session will be conducted. With the use of specialised apparatus, we were able to understand her mind on a deeper level. Every inch of the brain activities was explained clearly and we left the place with much materials for months of learning and exercising! Santiago’s professional counselling was so insightful and skilful. It provided a clear path by empowering us with good clean knowledge and we can see ourselves spending time to unlock areas of potential that we did not have to spend time guessing in the dark.Thank you, Fiona and Tyrel for your attention and support! We totally recommend New Leaf as a place to kickstart your journey to nurture your health, mind and soul.

Jessica Woodruff

Jessica is a stellar nutritionist. I initially consulted her as I had blood sugar related issues, and after following her recommendations for 3 months, I saw a quantitative improvement in the latest health screening. Overall her advice worked out great for me.But what sets her apart from other professionals is her depth of knowledge, willingness to share and capacity to teach. Through her consultation, I didn’t just get tailored advice, but I learnt many nutrition principles. The implication is that I’m able to derive my own interventions and adjust them according to circumstance (e.g. when travelling) to live a healthier lifestyle. To me that’s the value of seeing a nutritionist, and Jessica has certain delivered. Highly recommended!
